Thomas Kennon Harris, 37, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009 in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
He was a truck driver for Lauderdale Trucking Company.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely with the Rev. Henry L. Callison officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a son, Matthew Kennon Harris of Mount Pleasant, Texas; his parents, Henry and Gloria Harris of Mount Pleasant, Texas; a brother, Henry Harris II of Mount Pleasant, Texas; and his grandmother, Mary Harris of Dyersburg.
Gertrude Tubbs, 86, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was a retired Dietary Department employee of Parkview Hospital and a Methodist.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30- 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include two sons, Carlie Tubbs of Dyersburg and Philip Tubbs of Jackson; two sisters, Grace Davidson and Ester Tubbs, both of Dyersburg; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Q.B. Tubbs; her parents, Monk and Bridgett Jennings; two sisters, Mary Crocker and Addie King; and five brothers, J.D. Jennings, Carmick Jennings, William Butler, Ernest Butler and Dutch Butler.
Pallbearers will be Jim Berry, Jim Eudaley, Norris Campbell, Bill Hall, George French and Gary Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Lee Butler, George Hollingsworth, Jeremiah Hollingsworth and Kenny McGuire.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to the Community Cancer Fund.
