William Samuel Scobey, 73, of Trimble, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was a retired employee of All-Wear Manufacturing, a farmer, an Army veteran and a member of Trimble United Methodist Church.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Dr. Thomas Parnell officiating. Burial was in Cool Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Scobey of Trimble; a son, William Sidney Scobey and fiancée, Carolyn Pierce, of Trimble; a brother, Talmadge Scobey of Newbern; and a grandson, William Clint of Trimble.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Ella Williams Scobey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Talmadge Scobey, David Norsworthy, Richard Wilkerson, Lewis Mitchell, Robert Eddleman and Larry Dunaway.
Dorothy Mae Stanley, 49, of Maury City, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 at her residence.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Maury City Baptist Church with Bro. David Green officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Sellersburg Cemetery in Sellersburg, Ind.
The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at Maury City Funeral Home.
Survivors include a brother, Glenn Stanley and wife, Ann, of Maury City; five nieces, Lorrie Koehler and husband, Gary, Susie Holland and husband, Richard, Debbie Beaird and husband, Lanny, Carol Rouse and husband, Kevin, and DeAnne Pace and husband, Sammy; and two nephews, Don Million and wife, Mary, and David Million and wife, Carrie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Laura Wyres Stanley; and a brother, Sewell Everitt Stanley.
