Nancy Marie Dean, 58, of Obion, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2009 at her residence.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Obion.
Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. Aubrey Turner and the Rev. Marvin Wilson officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery in Hornbeak. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Hershel Dean of Obion; two daughters, Tammy Barbee and husband, Talmadge, and Judy Stafford and fiancÚ, Larry Stover, all of Obion; two sisters, Shirley Brown of Hickory Valley and Katie Davidson of Middleton; two brothers, Charles Hunt of Byhalia, Miss. and Johnny Hunt of Mason; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Marie Dean; her parents, Frank and Lucille Brown Hunt; a sister, Patsy Martin; and two brothers, Anthony Hunt and Jimmy Hunt.
Pallbearers will be Justin Barbee, Cody Barbee, David Owens, Jerry McCurdy, Willie Brown and Wayne Sharp. Honorary pallbearer will be Billy Canada.
William "Hoppy" Mancell, 69, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired farmer.
Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Clayton Mahan and the Rev. Calvin Smith officiating. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery in Gleason.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Mancell of Ridgely; four sons, Howard Mancell of Gleason, Richard Mancell of Dyersburg, Dewayne Mancell of Bogota and Matthew Mancell of Palmersville; a stepdaughter, Tina Sanders of Bogota; four stepsons, Douglas Anderson, George Anderson and William Anderson, all of Dyersburg and Charles Anderson of Ridgely; three sisters, Betty Grant of Martin, Kay Morris of Paris and Marie Allen of McKenzie; three brothers, Jimmy Mancell of Buchannon, Wayne Mancell of Dyersburg and David Mancell of Richwoods-Finley; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred Christian Mancell and Burnice Melvin Mancell.
Pallbearers were Richard Mancell Jr., Randy Mancell, Christopher Mancell, Dustin Moore, Rodney Lannom, Billy Mount and Jonathan Bryant.
