Betty Eason, 72, of Hornbeak, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

She was a retired employee of Salant & Salant and was a member of Hornbeak Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at White-Ranson Funeral Home in Union City with the Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Burial will be Terrace Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Berlon Eason of Hornbeak; a daughter, Regina Welch of Dyersburg; two sons, Dennis Eason and wife, Sandy, of Danville, Va. and Steve Eason and wife, Sarah, of Union City; six grandchildren, Clay Welch of Dyersburg, Crista Eason, Cora Eason and Candace Eason, all of Danville, Va., Shane Eason and Stacy Eason, both of Murfreesboro; and a great-grandchild, Carson Temple of Danville, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lebert and Fannie Smith James; a sister, Olean Hopper; and a brother, Clyde James.

Pallbearers will be Farris Duncan, Randy Eason, Jason Spicer, Jerry Wayne Duncan, Justin Spicer and Gathern Duncan. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Hopper, Jeff Burress, Gary Sutherland and Chris Eaves.


Mark Glen Reagan, 49, of Crestview, Fla., formerly of Dyersburg, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009 at Fort Walton Medical Center in Fort Walton, Fla.

He was an electrician assistant.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. James Loines and Larry Carnell officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

The family will receive visitors today at 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Shana Reagan Eaves and husband, Brian, and Danielle Reagan Torres and husband, Guillo; a son, Ian West Reagan; his mother, Peggy Seratt Reagan of Dyersburg; a sister, Joni Reagan Livingston and husband, George; a brother, Kirk Reagan and wife, Linda; two grandchildren, Austin Eaves and Shawn Eaves; three nieces, Brooke Reagan, Maggie Livingston and Anna McGehee; and a nephew, John Luke Reagan.

He was preceded in death by his father, John G. Reagan; and two sisters, Teresa Marie Reagan and Kaitlyn Jade Reagan.

Pallbearers will be Dan Martin, Larry Carnell, Joe Frank Reagan, Byron Reagan, Aaron Reagan and Clark Reagan.


Frank Roark, 67, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was a retired superintendent of Dyersburg Sanitation Department, attended Rehoboth United Methodist Church, a Mason, former sergeant with Dyersburg Police Department, former deputy with Dyer County Sheriff's Department, former staff sergeant with Tennessee Army National Guard and former reserve officer with the U.S. Army.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Tilley officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors today at 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Roark of Dyersburg; two daughters, Reba Collins and husband, Ronnie, and Shirley King and husband, Thomas, of all of Tatumville; a son, James Roark of Dyersburg; a sister, Bettny Jane Baucom and husband, Henry, of Dyersburg; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C. Joe Roark Sr. and Frances Thompson Roark; and two brothers, C. Joe "Charles" Roark Jr. and William "Bill" Roark.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Baucom, Joel Baucom, Jimmy Watson, Justin Watson, Bobby Gallahaire, Robert Riggs, Raymond Cooper and John Mark Johnson.
