The Dyer County Sheriff's Department, along with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Dyersburg Police Department and the K-9 unit from the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department apprehended a man wanted on federal charges on Wednesday, around 6:15 p.m.

Adam Hogeland, 24, had a federal warrant out for his arrest for a felon being in possession of a firearm. Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Holt said a tip came in to them that someone had dropped Hogeland off on Simpson Road. Law enforcement then focused their efforts around that area.

The K-9 unit was able to find Hogeland, who was trying to camouflage himself with leaves in a gulley.

Hogeland surrendered and was taken into custody.

On March 25, Dyer County Sheriff's Deputies attempted to serve a federal warrant on Hogeland. When deputies arrived at the residence he was at, he fled the scene on a four-wheeler ATV. Deputies chased him until he wrecked the four-wheeler along Lenox-Nauvoo Road. He then escaped on foot.

He was placed in the Wanted by the Dyer County Sheriff's Department section of the State Gazette, on Wednesday, in an attempt that someone would recognize him and call the Sheriff's Department.

Hogeland is currently in the Dyer County Jail.
