Lois Marie Quick Epperson, 78, of Frankfort, Ill, formerly of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009.

She was a beautician and a member of Palmer Park Baptist Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Gerardi Funeral Home in Frankfort, Ill. Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Ill.

Survivors include her husband, D.C. Epperson; three daughters, Peggy Farris and Vickey Estrada, both of Frankfort, Ill. and Paula Burns of Bourbonnais, Ill.; a son, Bo Epperson of Dyersburg; a sister, Mary Minnelli of Kankakee, Ill.; three brothers, Daymond Quick and Raymond Quick, both of Portage, Ind. and Harvey Colvin of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family request that any memorials be directed to Palmer Park Baptist Church.


Mary Louise Gauldin, 62, of Tiptonville, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at Emmanuel Church of God In Christ, where she was a member, with Elder Curtis McLendon officiating. Burial will be held in Citizens Cemetery in Tiptonville. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday at the church from noon-2 p.m.

Survivors include two daughters, Brendell Springer of Tiptonville, and Laticia Westfield of Killeen, Texas; five sons, Bernard Gauldin of Tiptonville, Dale Gauldin of Union City, Artise Gauldin, Donald Gauldin of Seattle, Wash., and Chauncy Holloway of Las Vegas, Nev.; four sisters, Betty Gosset of Hickman, Ky., Geraldine Holloway, Rose Holloway of Indianapolis, Ind., and Peggy Dunbar of Nassau, N.Y.; two brothers, Theodore Roosevelt Holloway and James Holloway of Indianapolis, Ind.; eight grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Gauldin.

Pallbearers will be Greg Ross, Jimmy Gauldin, Will Jackson, Joe Edwards and Dennis Nettles.


Charles Edward Hearod, Sr., 84, formerly of Dyersburg, died Monday, March 30, 2009 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia.

He was a self-employed painter and former truck driver and a Pentecostal.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia with Pastor Telford Tharp officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Dorothy Evans Hearod; his parents, Jim Hearod and Naomi Doss Hearod; a sister, Clara Hood; the mother of his three eldest children, Viola Cunningham.

Survivors include five daughters, Patricia Pruitt and husband, Don, of Culleoka, Debra Trahan and husband, Bryan, of Columbia, Kathy Wrathers and husband, Thomas, of Florence, Ala., Elizabeth Hearod of Dyersburg and Kathy Sue Hearod of New Port Richey, Fla.; a son Charles Hearod, Jr. and wife, Pam, of Dyersburg; three step-children, Judy Palmer, Susie Palmer, Jimmy Matlock all of Dyersburg; eight grandchildren, Michael Pruitt, Candy Roberts, Tammy Richard, Wendy King, Brenda Boudion, Jeremy Hearod, Amber Hearod, Alicia Hearod; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.

Curtis Neal Robinson

Curtis Neal Robinson, 63, of Goldsboro, N.C., formerly of Halls, died Sunday, March 29, 2009 in North Carolina.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Halls Funeral Home. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery in Gates.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Jean Robinson of Goldsboro, N.C.; three daughters, Tonya Hill of Mount Olive, N.C., Heather Lilly and Connie Matheny, both of Halls; a sister, Cynthia Bucannan; and four brothers, Kenneth Robinson, Doug Robinson, Steve Robinson and Anthony Robinson.
