Stephen Michael Keith Lawson, 18, of Dyersburg, died Monday, April 13, 2009 at McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer.

He was a deliveryman for Domino's Pizza and worked in construction, a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Bethel Springs, where his grandfather is the pastor, and active in the FFA.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Shackleford Funeral Directors of Selmer with Dr. B.C. McKinley officiating. Burial will be in Lake Hill Memorial Gardens in Bethel Springs.

Survivors include his parents, Michael and Angela Lawson of Dyersburg; a sister, Brittany Nicole Lawson of Dyersburg; his grandparents, James and Brenda Lawson of Bethel Springs, and Elma Cladine (Dean) Basler of Harriaman; an aunt, Cynthia Richards; four uncles, Tony Lawson, Perry Allen Basler, Michael Basler and Rusty Basler; and a special friend, Mary Curren Viar of Dyersburg.


Farris E. Riley, 73, of Obion, died Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was retired after 43 years as an employee of Pepsi-Cola of Memphis, was an avid fisherman, and a member of the Army National Guard.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Curry Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Elbridge.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Kaye Riley of Obion; three sons, Allen Riley and Joey Riley, both of Dyersburg, and David Mark Riley of Nashville; a sister, Colleen Whittle of Dyersburg; a brother, Reed Riley of Dyersburg; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Leroy and Spencie Cowell Riley.


Robert "Teddy Bear" Thomas, of Miston, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at his residence.

He was a riverboat captain for Choctaw Transportation Co.

Services will 2 p.m. Saturday at John German Funeral Home in Hayti, Mo. with the Rev. Carmen Dennison officiating. Burial will be in The Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, Mo.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.


Raymond Carson "Ray-Ray" White, 36, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis.

He was a sheetrock installer for Billy Rogers Plumbing.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Carmon Dennison officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

Survivors include his companion, Barbara Wilson of Dyersburg; a daughter, Megan Brooke White of Dyersburg; two sons, Raymond Carson White Jr. and Nicholas Atwell, both of Dyersburg; his parents, William and Doris Simpson of Dyersburg; four sisters, Donna Luckett of Denver, Colo., Carlene Goldsmith of Dyersburg, Kim White of Cleveland, Ohio and Melissa Tate of Newbern; and four brothers, James White of Dyersburg, Mike Simpson of Tiptonville, Bryan White of Cleveland, Ohio and Jason White of Milan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harley Carson White.

Pallbearers will be Keith Murphy, Jeremy Rogers, Josh Rogers, Michael Fulcher, Steve Agresta, Brian Neville, Ollie F. Conder and David Lowery.
