Only one of four Dyersburg contestants advanced to the third round of the West Tennessee Idol competition.
David Moore is scheduled to participate in the radio rounds, which begin Monday on WYN 106.9 FM in Jackson. Two singers will compete each day. Listeners will vote for their favorites and the daily winners will advance the to finals on June 28 at The Ned in Jackson.
Devon Box, Emily Westmoreland and Jeremy Lawson were all eliminated in the live-performance rounds, which concluded Saturday.
All four were selected during the Round 1 auditions April 25 in Union City.
The West Tennessee Idol will receive $1,000 cash, a recording session and a chance to compete in the state Colgate Country Showdown in Nashville.
This is Moore's second attempt at the title. The 31-year-old advanced to the quarterfinals in 2003.
