Basically the same ones, they will get off free so they can do it again. Same judge and they are free! Got money...they are free. Give us GOOD CITIZENS a break...send them to jail! Hopefully for more than a month or two here in town. Our streets do not need all these people cleaning it.

SEND THEM TO PRISON...

i agree,i'm so tired of it.when are the judges going to start doing there job. they will put a man in jail for not paying child support in a heart beat, but let's just slap the drunk driver's hand and say don't do it again.

how many times does it take before something is done. i know how long it takes, not until someone DIES and that is sad but its the TRUTH.

i know so many that get away with it over and over and over again. i'm taking this personal because my brother was killed by a drunk driver,my only brother. i can forgive someone when they make a mistake because everyone has made one,but when they don't learn from that mistake its different.i can go on and on about this but i'm not,it does no good and nobody wants to hear it. NOT UNTIL IT HAPPEN'S TO THEIR FAMILY, I SHOULD KNOW I USED TO BE THEM. PEOPLE PLEASE WAKE UP, JUDGES PLEASE START SENDING THEM TO PRISON BEFORE YOU GET THAT PHONE CALL YOU NEVER WANT TO GET, THEN IT'S TO LATE. MAY GOD WATCH OVER EVERYONE, AND YES EVEN THE DRUNKS

Let some of these hardcore offenders carry around a ball and chain and put them on a actual work crew out in this heat...may see a change in how they continue to be repeat performers..get back to the old days when they were actually punished for crime...they have no rights once they have broken the law!!!

Something is wrong when our judicial system gives offenders more time for property crimes than those commited against people. It is all about money.

It's time to stop sentencing minor drug offenders to jail terms. Mandatory drug treatment and/or public service is more realistic. Putting people in jail for using drugs makes about as much sense as putting fat people in jail for eating too much.

You are absolutely correct Rickey. It's sad that people in our district won't elect intelligent people who can set new laws and make sensible decisions. Before long just about everybody will be locked up.

Little Dickie Squirt III was either on PCP, or just needs some serious Psychological evaluation!

Whatta' winner!

a couple of guys on this list really needs to be put away...I'm surprised they haven't killed already....I bet the speeders are out of more money than these repeat offenders...

-- Posted by DMASE on Thu, Jun 18, 2009, at 5:30 PM

Untile the judge are held accoutable for what they do on the bench, this will never END. I have a bother who is a 7 time repeat offender, and still here is still doing the same thing everyday and NOTHING is done about it. We need tougher laws and tougher judges. WE NEED A LOCAL WORK FARM FOR THESE OFFENDER'S.

wake up dyersburg residents- these judges in dyer county are all about the money, these offenders just have to show them judges the money, this whole town is like that! its sad when u get less time for killin someone than u do for drugs!!! but thats our dyersburg!!!!!

-- Posted by dls43 on Fri, Jun 19, 2009, at 7:23 PM

It takes more than murder on the highways of Dyer County to get someone put away! A drunk driver LITERALLY gets away with murder in West TN. Try asking how old the victim has to be....that's more accurate. 81 yrs old was too old.....maybe a 75 yr old victim would cause the Dyersburg justice system to bring charges? Maybe it's 65 yrs old? Be careful if you're anywhere near the roads in Dyer County!!

I BET THE ONLY ONE THAT GETS JAIL TIME IS THE ONE WHO KICKED THE PATROL CAR WINDOW OUT, AND BEAT HIS SELF IN THE HEAD WITH THE TAPE RECORDER ,REPEATEDLY.
