"...pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm where alcoholic beverages (that's beer and/or whiskey for people who can take the facts straight up) are sold..." - Okay folks, first of all I wouldn't enter most of the places in our part of the country where alcohol is sold without a gun, a knife, a taser, or some other form of self protection on my person. Second, we wouldn't have the problem of "liquor by the drink" here if fourteen more people had voted against it the last time it came up for a referendum. Third, I'm one of those people who insist that the Second Amendment to the Constitution means owning and carrying a firearm is an inalienable right that "shall not be infringed". The way I see it, let me stick this in your eye all you left wing commies, is that John Brandon's Constitutional guarantee to "keep and bear arms" was denied him in a court of law, the duty of which is to uphold the Constitution. It's time people started acting like we have a Constitution and prosecuting those who don't want one.
It really doesn`t matter. Our rights have been taken away from us anyway. If not by the judges, then the presidents` men. The constitution doesn`t mean a darn thing to these people. If I could afford it, I would move to Holland or somewhere. You might say "if I don`t like it, then move". Like I said, if I could afford it. I probably could if all the jobs did not go overseas.
No, you're absolutely right, nicksgrandad. A lot of us would leave this politically rotten place if there was somewhere better to go. My ancestors left Ireland and England for the same reason: Can't shoot the deer. They belong to the king. Can't catch the fish. They belong to the king. Can't chop the tree. It belongs to the king. Can't have you believing in god just any old way. The king says so. Sound familiar? Native Americans, I've been led to believe by movies romantacizing about the noble red man, would stake themselves to a spot where they would fight to the death. I think it's time to drive that stake into the ground and declare, "I've had enought! No more! Today is a good day to die." But, of course, the people responsible for all the economic chaos and political betrayal won't come for you. No, they'll send the tax man and the sheriff. That's the reason Mr. Obama could say, "It won't do them [us] any good to cling to our Bibles and our guns." He has "the system" to do his dirty work...just like the king did.
Oh, and by the way, the headline should read "Incomplete Sentences Given in Circuit Court" to be grammatically correct.
