Charles Mack Turner, 58, of Ridgely, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a member of Cottonwood Baptist Church, a former deputy with the Lake County Sheriff's Office for eight years, an ordained minister, a member of Woodman of the World, and former manager of Huck's Convenience Store from 1996-1997.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in the Ridgely chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Turner and the Rev. Charles Runions officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Turner of Ridgely; a daughter, Angela Evans and husband, Rich, of Troy; a son, Charles Preston Turner and wife, Tania, of Milwaukee, Wis.; a stepson, Patrick Wayne Sherman of Milwaukee, Wis.; his mother, Carolyn Turner Mooring of Rector, Ark.; a sister, Susan Runions of Ridgely; four grandchildren; and a nephew, Woody Joe Dozier.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Turner.
Pallbearers will be Blake Turner, William Rivers, Jeffrey Rivers, Chris Runions, Charles Runions and David Turner.
