Christean Anderson Hager, 84, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was a retired employee of Sylvania, a member of East Dyersburg Methodist Church, active in Methodist Women, worked at Oak Ridge Nuclear Facility during World War II and was an avid cook.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Wolfgang officiating.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Joe F. Hager of Dyersburg; two sons, Gary Hager and wife, Audrey, of Memphis and Scotty Hager and wife, Carol, of Dyersburg; two sisters, Juanita Hickman and Ann Reaves, both of Dyersburg; and seven grandchildren, Chad Hager and wife, Carolyn, Logan Hager and wife, Tiffany, Brooke Greene, Rachel Pilkenton, Kirby Johnson and husband, Colin, Colin Hager and Caleb Hager.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rube and Elizabeth Anderson; and a sister, Virginia "Polly" Seaton.
Pallbearers will be Cecil Seaton, Donald Hickman, Johnny Reaves, James Cooper, Charles Maxey and Jackie Keeling.
Fannie Mae Roberts Martin Moore, 87, died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Dyersburg Manor.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 19 at 2 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home with graveside services at 3 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Officiating will be nephews James Gary Roberts, David Roberts, Gary Wilson and Bob Buckley.
Fannie Mae was born April 1, 1922 in Sharon, daughter of the late Gary (Gay) Franklin and Ida McDonald Roberts. She was the widow of Robert E. Martin and Dr. Johnny Moore. She had one son, Robert Michael (Mike) Martin of Dyersburg who preceded her in death.
She is survived by one sister, Ida Fay Wilson of Dresden, and stepchildren Mary Hill and Johnny Moore of Georgia. She was preceded in death by brothers Dr. James Brodie Roberts, Robert Malcolm Roberts, William Len Roberts, Donald Roberts and Gay Thomas Roberts, and sisters Sally Roberts Adams and Virginia Roberts Buckley, and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Lake Road Church of Christ in Dyersburg.
Pallbearers will be Gary Roberts, Alex Roberts, Lee Roberts, Ty Roberts, Brent Jolley, Brandon Jolley and Zach Jolley.
Charlotte Cook Ray, 75, of Rehoboth Community, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at The Highlands of Dyersburg.
She was a retired teacher for the Dyersburg City School System, a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church and the Rehoboth United Methodist Women.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rehoboth United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Tilley officiating. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30-7:30 today at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Cooper Ray; three sons, Kevin Cook Ray of Boston, Mass., Robert Sidney Ray and wife, Amy, of Munford and William Michael Ray and wife, Sandy, of Dyersburg; two sisters, Ruth Richards and Carolyn Simmons, both of Jackson; eight grandchildren, Mary Tatum Ellis, Cory Smith, Ryan Blalock, McKenzie Ray, Mary Kate Ray, Joshua Ray, Zachary Ray and Kacey Cecil; and a great-grandchild, Kaelan Cadrain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Evelyn Oma Raley Cook; a sister, Evelyn Rook; and three brothers, Meredith Cook, Milton Cook and Thomas "Bubba" Cook.
Pallbearers will be Joe Holland, Gene Sykes, Larry Sykes, Steve Agee, Charles Royer and Doc Bevis. Honorary pallbearer will be Ronnie Craig.
