Joseph "Just Joe" Borders, 43, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, July 16, 2009 in Dyersburg.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Wrestling was his life and he enjoyed announcing for local wrestling shows.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, Mo. with Bro. Mark Pendergrass officiating. Burial was in Sorrell Chapel Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Dial Borders of Dyersburg; five children, Jesse William Harlen Borders and Justine Stogner, both of Foxworth, Miss., Tara Joann Nicholson of Maynardville, John "Biscuit" Robertson Edwards and Galon Ray Edwards, both of Dyersburg; a sister, Dorothy Tomlinson of Dyersburg; a brother, Michael D. Borders of St. Charles, Mo.; six grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Ann Stillman Borders and Myles A. Borders Jr.
Pallbearers were Ricky Akins, Randy Campbell, George Seaton, Jody Sanders, Shannon Shaw and Donald Ozment.
Michael Hendrix Peters, 43, of Hernando, Miss., died Sunday, July 19, 2009 in Memphis.
He was an employee of Swift Trucking, a former Memphis Police officer and a graduate of Dyer County High School.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Canale Funeral Directors, 2700 Union Ave. in Memphis.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Scanlon Peters of Hernando, Miss.; two daughters, Abby Peters and Emma Peters, both of Hernando, Miss.; his mother and stepfather, Arline Hendrix Campbell and Austin Campbell of Newbern; two sisters, Robin Peters and husband, Drew Broach, of New Orleans and Kimberly Myers and husband, Randy, of Nashville; and two nieces, Flannery Peters Broach of New Orleans and Tess Myers of Nashville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Henderson Peters; and his grandparents, Robert and Hilda Hendrix.
