Carrie Harris Armstrong, 71, of Henning, formerly of Dyersburg, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
She was a member of the New Womack Temple C.M.E. Church.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009 at Bruce Community Center with the Rev. James A. Williamson officiating, assisted by the Rev. W.L. McCadney. Burial will be held in the Cainfield Cemetery in Ripley.
Visitation will held Tuesday, Aug. 4, 6-8 p.m. in Cosmopolitan Funeral Services Chapel. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge.
Survivors: Mother, Ora Bates, Henning, Tenn.; (2) Daughters; Cheryl Harris, Arlington, Texas, Mikki Harris, Dyersburg; (3) Sons, Robert (Jacklin) Chatman, Nashville, Tenn., Kenny (Marsha) Harris, Arlington, Texas, Tommie Lee Harris, Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Doug Rogers, Emmanuel Deberry, Johnny Wills, Joe William, Paul Bonds, Bobby Treadway, Barry Humphrey, David Miles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Lee McGregor.

Hazel Hendrix, 89, of Dyersburg, died Friday, July 31, 2009 at Jackson Regional Hospital.
She was a homemaker, a member of Dyersburg Church of God and a member of Senior Circle.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Burgner and Pastor Robert Davis officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Jim York; a son, Calvin Dale Hendrix and wife, Pat, of Dyersburg; a brother, Leo Crews of Petersburg, Ill.; and a grandchild, Emily Hohneck and husband, Danny, of Tiptonville.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Calvin B. Hendrix.
Pallbearers will be Jason Funderburk, Terry Funderburk, Glendale Brasfield, James Davidson, Paul Gardner and Nicky Lawson.
Patricia Ann Permenter, 68, of Ripley, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Lauderdale Community Living Center in Ripley.
Services were Saturday at Halls Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Green officiating. Burial was in McCullough's Chapel Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Jordan of Ripley; a son, Alvin Dewayne Permenter of Halls; two sisters, Barbara Enochs of Dyersburg and Cindy Parker of Newbern; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Robbie Jean Rice, 75, of Dyersburg, died Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Pemiscot County Hospital in Hayti, Mo.
Born at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Mrs. Rice moved to Dyer County in 1959 where, in addition to performing her homemaking duties, she was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Dyersburg, a volunteer at Parkview Hospital, and a Cub Scout den mother.
Graveside services for Mrs. Rice were held Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009 at Fairview Cemetery with the Reverend Perry Grills officiating.
She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Caudill and her son, Ernest "Quad" Rice, IV and wife Tammy Tucker Rice all of Dyersburg. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Se was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Rice, III; her parents Ruby Scruggs Reynolds and Jimmy Reynolds; and a daughter, Karen Rice.
