* Scotty J. Bolden, 39, 209 2nd Ave., was granted pre-trial diversion on a charge of violating the Motor Vehicle Habitual Offender Act. He was placed on supervised probation for two years and ordered to pay $1,073 in court costs and a $35 monthly supervision fee.
* Jason Wayne Millner, 27, 848 Friendship Road, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of simple assault. He was accused of injuring a man during a barroom fight on Jan. 1. He was placed on unsupervised probation for 11 months and 29 days and forbidden to contact the victim.
* Danny L. Sims, 53, 1384 Cumberland St., pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated. A related charge of violating the implied consent law was dismissed. Sims was sentenced to 48 hours in jail followed by 11 months, 27 days of unsupervised probation. He was fined $350 and his driver's license was revoked for a year.
* Jerry Wilkes, 45, 215 Jones in Newbern, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of facilitation of selling more than half a gram of cocaine. He was sentenced to four years and six months in prison and ordered to pay $160 restitution to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force.
* Brian Taylor Wilson, 38, Courtland Square Apartment 12, was convicted by a jury on a reduced charge of theft of property less than $500. He had been originally been indicted for robbery. He was accused of beating an Upper Finley Road resident and leaving him unconscious on Halloween last year. Wilson reportedly stole $30. Wilson was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail and must serve that time consecutively to all previous sentences in Tennessee and Kentucky.

I'm wondering if these reports could include the names of the the judges who are presiding over the cases. Info like that might be important to voters when elections roll around. We need to know who's doing or not doing their job behind the bench.
