David Boyd Eddlemon, 50, of Tiptonville, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009 at his residence.
He was a farmer and heavy equipment operator.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Ridgely chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Jeremy Pierce and Mr. Jeff O'Dell officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a son, David Boyd Eddlemon II of Tiptonville; his parents, James and Rosemary Eddlemon of Tiptonville; a brother, James Knox Eddlemon and wife, Vickie, of Nesbit, Miss.
Pallbearers will be Kent Patterson, Trent Patterson, Tony Bargery, Billy Farmer, Joe Marvin and Brad Eddlemon. Honorary pallbearers will be Franklin "Dink" Simmons, Jackie Flowers and Sammy Price.
Lexie Sue Simpson, 76, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 at her residence.
She was a retired employee of Sylvania.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Mac Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Sorrells Chapel Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Ann Buchanon of Halls; three sons, James Simpson and wife, Cathy, of Dyersburg, Johnny Simpson and wife, Kim, of Dresden, and Lee Simpson and wife, Virginia, of Bruceton; a brother, Luther Loines of Gleason; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Edward Simpson; her parents, James David and Mattie Neal Lawson Loines; two sisters, Ruth Reyes and Eula Hinson; three brothers, Bill Loines, Jimmy Loines and Raymond Loines; and numerous other brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Jarrod Simpson, Colton Simpson, Eric Warden, Doug Preslar, Nick Preslar and Donald Simpson. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Simpson and Centauri Dixon.
Janet Fowler Tate, 55, of Tiptonville, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009 at her residence.
She was a homemaker and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today in the Ridgely chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Allison officiating. Burial will be in Fremont Cemetery near Union City.
Survivors include her husband, John Tate of Tiptonville; a son, Wayne White of Hornbeak; a stepdaughter, Grace Nicole Tate of Newbern; a stepson, William Paul Tate of Newbern; her mother and stepfather, Rosie "Tiny" and Papa Jack Smyth of Fremont; a sister, Carolyn Able of Samburg; a brother, Randall Fowler of Munford; and two grandchildren, Conner Seth White and Brooke Leann White.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Lee "Jake" Fowler.
Pallbearers will be Randall Fowler, Randy Fowler, Danny Fowler, Little Niki Hayes, Gary Stoneburner and Daniel Stoneburner.
David Lynn Young, 61, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was owner of West Tennessee Glass & Overhead Door Company, a member of National Rifle Association, Dyer County Chamber of Commerce and an avid hunter.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Chessor officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Survivors include four sisters, Doris Timmer of The Villages, Fla., Brenda Patterson, Linda Bland and Sandy Sanchez, all of Dyersburg; six brothers, Pete Young of Yorkville, Bubba Young of Lenox, Bill Young, Jimmy Young and Will Young, all of Dyersburg and Luke Young of Finley; seven nieces; and seven nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Norma Gibson Young.
Pallbearers will be Bill Mancell Jr., Randy Brock, Lynn Mancell, Tim Bryant, Jim Boyd, Clint Young, Bill Young and Stanley Nail. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Kindle, Michael Young, Jeff Young and Jason Harper.
