Newbern police investigate burglaries

Newbern police are investigating two burglaries that happened in the Scenic Hills neighborhood on Saturday, July 18.

The burglaries occurred between the hours of 2 and 8:30 p.m. at 816 Hollowcreek Drive and 845 Scenic Hills Drive in Newbern.

During both burglaries, the thieves entered the houses through the garage door. Among the items stolen were a police scanner, laptop computer, loose and rolled change and various items of jewelry.

NOW THE CRIMINALS CAN READ ABOUT IT ON THE INTERNET, AND LISTEN TO THE POLICE SCANNER SO WHEN THEY KNOW THEY ARE COMING.
