Betty S. Lange, 77 of Dyersburg, died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was a retired employee of Miles Laboratory in Bedford Park, Ill.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern with Jerry Leach officiating.

The family will receive visitors from 1 p.m. until service time at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Marecek and husband, Doug, of Montgomery, Ill., and Loretta Reece of Dyersburg; and five grandchildren, William Lange Reece, Kevin Jeffrey Reece and Kimberly Sue Reece, all of Dyersburg, Bryan Keith Marecek and Samantha Ann Marecek, both of Montgomery, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Lange.

Jo Ruth Sadler Pope, 76, of Trimble, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was a homemaker and a member of Trimble First Baptist Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Oakley officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.

The family will receive visitors from 3-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Albert Nelson Pope of Trimble; a daughter, Lisa Pope Hunter and husband, Rheamond, of Texarkana, Texas; a son, Timothy Pope and wife, Tina, of Trimble; and three grandchildren, Mitch Pope of Trimble, Courtney Hunter of College Station, Texas, and Erin Hunter of Texarkana, Texas.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes Hodges and Kathleen Huey.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Adams, Edward Pledge, Mark Pledge, Bruce Pope, Bryan Pope and Robert Pope.

Ross Lee Summers, 83, of Newbern, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was a retired carpenter and plumber.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Oakwood Cemetery in Dyer with the Rev. Scott Jewell officiating. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Freda Jewell Summers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Clinton Summers and Lener Bell Dunivant Summers.
