The first public hearing will consider a Community Development Block Grant application for septic services in the Tigrett community. That hearing is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the circuit courtroom on the second floor of the Dyer County Courthouse.
The second public hearing will consider changing the county's subdivision regulations to reduce the minimum acreage required for a school. That hearing is scheduled to begin at 6:45 p.m. in the circuit courtroom.
The county commission meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the circuit courtroom. Items on the agenda include election of the board's chairman and vice chairman, the proposed amendment to subdivision regulations, two budget amendments and approval of the finance director's $25,000 bond.
In addition, the commission is expected to consider a resolution asking the Tennessee General Assembly to delay the implementation of the Tennessee Voter Confidence Act of 2007. The law requires all counties to begin using optical scanner voting systems next year.
