Andrew "Red" Cox, 88, of Dyersburg died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009 at Oakwood Manor.

He was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran, Steward's Mate 1st Class he received an Honorable discharge, Victory Medal, American Theater Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Medal Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2009 2:00 p.m at Salter's Chapel AME Church with Rev. Johnny Jones officiating. Burial will be held in the M.C.C.O. Cemetery, Newbern, TN.

Visitation will be noon until time of service at the church.

Survivors include four daughters, Betty Boxley, Frankie Renay Cox, Dyersburg, TN Bobbie Cox (Richard) Henderson, Harford, CT. Delina Wallace, Memphis, TN; five sons, Robert Lee Cox, Benton (Arnita) Cox, James Roy (Joyce) Cox, Billy Ray (Sherry) Cox, Lynn Wallace Dyersburg, TN.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tilda Alexander Cox, Daughter, Merlene Cox Brown; two sons: Willard Marshall Cox, Carl Cox; a brother, Havers Cox.

Pallbearers: Jamal Henderson, David Cox, Dwight Cox, Dewayne Cox, Robert Cox Jr., James Boxley, Issac Boxley.

Alberta Flenoy, 95, of Dyersburg died Sept. 9, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be Friday, September 18, 2009 time 12 p.m. noon at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church with Rev. W.L. McCadney officiating. Burial will be held in the Newbern Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Survivors: Daughter, Jessie Bennett, Dyersburg; Son, R.C. Clayborne; Dyersburg; 13 Grandchildren, 15 Great-grandchildren; 31 Great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Eddie Nickels, 72, of Dyersburg died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 at noon at the Future City Community Center. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge.

Mrs. Barbara Fay Richter, 71, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

Services for Mrs. Richter will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Dr. Ralph Buckley officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Glen Kellum, Wesley Ballard, Wayne Loerch, Brian Smothers, Robert Drumwright and Bradley Waddell.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, William Richter of Dyersburg; 2 daughters, Judy Kellum of Atoka, TN and Joyce Emerson of Dyersburg, TN; 2 sisters, Betty Sue Drumwright of Gates, TN and Mary Alice Wilson of Clarksville, TN; 3 brothers, Billy Wayne Campbell of Covington, TN, J.W. Campbell of Ripley, TN and Charles W. Campbell of Clarksville, TN; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 1 son, Tommy Odle and her parents Lena Patterson and Will Campbell.
