Ruth Bishop, 81, of Finley, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was a homemaker and a member of Three Oaks Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Buck Bishop of Finley; three daughters, Rose White of Finley, Cindy Barham and Jan Woody, both of Dyersburg; two sons, Billy Bishop of Finley and Jamie Bishop of Dyersburg; two sisters, Jean Burkeen of Hickman, Ky. and Carolyn Irving of Dyersburg; three brothers, George Patterson of Troy, Steve Patterson of Dyersburg and Jerry Patterson of Texas; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Bobbie Patterson; a sister, Shirley Nicks; and four brothers, Acie Patterson, Bennie Patterson, Harold Patterson and Cotton Patterson.

Pallbearers will be Stacy Pruitt, Derek Canada, Danny Petrie, Phillip Heathcott, Jeff White and Tony Newton.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to Three Oaks Baptist Church.

Ruth "Nannie" Willis, Walker, 84, of Newbern, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.

She was a retired cafeteria employee of Newbern Grammar School and a member of Fair Havens Church of Christ.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandye Brown of Newbern; two sons, Joe Dan Walker and wife, Judy, and Tracy Walker and wife, Karen, all of Newbern; five sisters, Geraldine Proud and Cheryl Walker, both of Newbern, Bobbie Cantoni of Lake Station, Ind., Reba Macedo of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Wanda Jacobs of Louisville, Ky.; four brothers, Tee Willis and Roger Willis, both of Newbern, Carl Willis of Laverne and Ronnie Willis of Jackson; five grandchildren, Jason Walker, Brik Brown and Tiffany Walker, all of Newbern, Bracken Brown of Dyersburg and Courtney Walker of Jackson; and a great-grandson, Jake Walker of Newbern.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Joe Walker; her father, Dan Willis; her mother, Trummie Gertrude Underwood; her stepmother, Mary Alline Willis; a sister, Mary Lois Rogers; and two brothers, Curtis Willis and Lois Willis

Pallbearers will be Larry Walker, Bobby Joe Walker, Danny Willis and Ronnie Wyrick, Roy Barker and Johnny Proud. Honorary pallbearers will be James Edwards, Bill Cozart and Billy Carson.
