Katherine "Kat" Lyon Allen, 74, of Ridgely, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ridgely chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Don Layman officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors at 6-9 p.m. today at the Ridgely chapel.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Allen of Ridgely; two daughters, Glenda "Bucky" Allen and Rhonda Hutcheson of Ridgely; two sisters, Mary Alice Chadwick of Jackson and Mary Markham of Dyersburg; three grandchildren, Robert L. Mumford and Christy Mumford Woodard, both of Ripley, and Michael "Shane" Hutcheson of Ridgely; and eight great-grandchildren, Shayna Hutcheson, Michael Hyatt, Lexie Bolden, Kyle Emerson, Eric Mumford, Matthew Mumford, Hayden Hutcheson and Cameron Hutcheson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Drury Burbage Lyon and Joyce Bennett Lyon; two sisters, Corea Jourden and Lotus Lancaster; and a brother, Drury Brown Lyon.
Pallbearers will be Robert Mumford, Shane Hutcheson, Michael Woodard, Gaylon Hutcheson, Gene Watson and Jack Markham. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilford Lancaster, Jimmy Miller, Donald Markham, Bill Markham and Ronald Capps.
Charles Harold Phillips, 72, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired truck driver for Garner Trucking Company and attended Middle City Church of Jesus Christ.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Mac Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include three daughters, Janey McKee and husband, Montel, and Brenda Jones, all of Dyersburg and Tina Phillips of Grandhaven, Mich.; four sons, Tim Phillips and wife, Donna, of Dyersburg, Dennis Phillips and wife, Glenda, of Rome, Ga., Alan Phillips of Muskegon, Mich. and Tony Phillips of Union City; two sisters, Linda Phillips and companion, Walter Anderson, of McKenzie and Brenda French and husband, Mackie, of Dyersburg; five brothers, William Phillips, Larry Phillips, Ronald Phillips and Andrew Phillips and companion, Angie Owsley, all of Dyersburg and Melvin Phillips and wife, Ann, of Newbern; 23 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Harold Phillips Jr.; his parents, Eltan and Georgia Christian Phillips; a sister, Diane Patterson; and a brother, Jimmy Phillips.
Pallbearers will be Franklin McKee, Tim Phillips II, Dustin Phillips, Christopher Phillips, Jason Jones and Allen Jones.
