Newbern asks for residents' cooperation in survey

The Newbern Water and Sewer Department will be making application for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for 2010. One of the requirements for this application is a Target Area Survey. This survey is necessary to show the state of Tennessee the need for a grant in order to complete the upgrade of the city's sewer system.

In the next few days, survey takers will be contacting residents to ask various questions. The city of Newbern would appreciate residents' cooperation in assisting in obtaining this information to meet their requirements. The information gathered will be held in the utmost privacy and will only be used for the purpose of the grant. Workers gathering the information will have city of Newbern identification badges to prove their identity.
