Amy K. Hooper Fleming, 35, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Lauderdale at Ripley, TN.
Mrs. Fleming was born Friday, November 22, 1973 in Dyersburg to Gordon Hooper and Victoria Hendrix Hooper. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and an avid outdoors person who liked to ride motorcycles.
The Hooper family will receive visitors from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2009 at Curry Funeral Home. Funeral services for Ms. Fleming will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009 in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Phipps officiating. Interment will follow at Trezevant Cemetery, Trezevant, TN. Pallbearers will be Wade Anderson, Johnny Anderson, Jason Buress, Johnny Newsome, Jeff Hooper and Danny Buress. Shane Hooper and Brandon Hendrix will serve as honorary pallbearers.
She is survived by her daughter, Emma Madyson Fleming; her son, Mason Cole Fleming, both of Dyersburg; her mother, Vickie Hooper of Dyersburg; her father, Gordon Hooper and wife, Jeanne, of Trezevant, TN; two sisters, Brandi McDaniel and husband Josh of McKenzie and Holli Hooper of Trezevant; one brother, Shane Hooper and wife Carolyn of Dyersburg; and one niece, Hailey McDaniel of McKenzie.

Kevin (Butch) Hilliard-Holt, 41, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 20, 2009.
Kevin is survived by his wife Tonya, his children Zoe 16, Levi 15, India 8, Rheannon 17, Seth 11. His parents Bob & Sherry Hilliard of Broken Arrow, Okla. and brother, Keith Hilliard of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister Amy Jackson of Lynchburg, VA, Grandmother Opal Corsaw of Broken Arrow, Okla. Grandfather Harry P. Smith of Dyersburg, TN and grandmother Clarice Hilliard of Dyersburg, TN.
He is also survived by his aunt of the family home, Carolyn Clark, and aunt, Sandra Wilson of Broken Arrow, Okla. Surviving uncles are Jimmy Wilson of Broken Arrow, and Larry Smith and Marvin Hilliard of Dyersburg, TN, nieces Jenna Lynn and Emily Jackson of Lynchburg, VA. Kevin was born May 8, 1968 in Dyersburg, TN. He moved with his parents to Broken Arrow, OK in 198 1.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jaybo and Lucille Holt and Charles Hilliard of Dyersburg, TN.
He was a graduate of Broken Arrow High School, attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from Southeastern University in Durant. His career began as a teacher in the Broken Arrow School system and later taught in Derby, KS. His true talent was construction management. The Kevin we loved enjoyed life and his family. His sense of humor and his laughter will carry on in his children and his family who will always carry him in their hearts.
The family requests that any memorials or contributions be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital, where his daughter, India, is treated.
Bettie Wynn Sumara, 80, of Tiptonville, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009 at her residence.
She was a self-employed businesswoman, a graduate of Gulf Park High School in Gulfport, Miss., attended Duke University, was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, the Lake County Election Commission, Lake County Historical Society, Primary Care Board, Tiptonville Women's Club, and Tiptonville Public Library, involved in agriculture, active in the American Cancer Society, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, avid birdwatcher, loved to travel and was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Russell Harbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Haynes Memorial Gardens in Tiptonville.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the Tiptonville chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Michele Sumara and husband, Michael Gordon, of Milwaukee, Wis.; a son, Ed Sumara of Wynnburg; and four grandchildren, Kim Sumara of Arlington, Joseph Sumara of Tiptonville, Isabel Gordon and Sam Gordon, both of Milwaukee, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 38 years, C.K.G. "Mike" Sumara; and her parents, Clay F. and Mai Bennett Wynn.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Sumara, Sam Gordon, Josh Thompson, Sam Bradshaw, Peter Keiser, Glenn Young, Michael Gordon and Joe Saloom. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeanette Cates, Mary Tipton, Beth Haynes, Helen Lovell, Virginia Hayes, Helen Lindamood, Terri Byrd, Sue Hurst, Soraya Parr, Elizabeth Kendall, Kim Sumara, Isabel Gordon, Tish Mitchell, Lilly McCain, Brin Baucum, Dale Baucum and Jenny Mooring.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Tiptonville Public Library, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
