City Beautiful names city's best fall decorations

Edward and Darlene Burks of 1011 Troy Ave., in Dyersburg, won the Most Original title in the annual City Beautiful Fall Decorating Contest.

Homes throughout Dyersburg put on their Autumn Best for City Beautiful Commission's annual Fall Decorating Contest Oct. 26-30.

Residents throughout Dyersburg decorated their homes in honor of the season, with winners named in the Most Humorous, Most Original Fall, Spookiest, Best Door and Best Fall Decoration categories.

Gerald and Mary Lou Newbill of 918 Cooper Driver were chosen as the city's Best Fall Decorations in the City Beautiful Fall Decorating Contest. The wheelbarrow holding the flowers is an heirloom that has been in the family for over 100 years.
