Dickson, Waverly National Guard units returning home Saturday

Friday, October 30, 2009
The Tennessee National Guard units from Dickson and Waverly, comprising the 267th Military Police Company, are scheduled to return to Tennessee on Saturday, Oct. 31, after a year's deployment to Iraq.

Due to changes in army scheduling, the location has once again changed. The soldiers are still scheduled to arrive at approximately 9:30 p.m., but at the Nashville International Airport. The exact location is still undetermined.

The Military Police units will travel to the Tennessee National Guard's Volunteer Training Center at the Smyrna Airport and begin out-processing early Sunday, Nov. 1. They are scheduled to leave by bus for the Dickson armory between noon and 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Approximately 18,000 Tennessee Army and Air Guardsmen will have deployed by January 2010.
