The Dyersburg Area Community Concert Association will hold its second concert of the season on Tuesday, Nov. 3, with a performance by Quattrocelli.

The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Yates Auditorium in the Professional Development Center, located at 305 College St. in Dyersburg.

Quattrocelli, a cello quartet featuring Lukas Dreyer, Hartwig Christ, Michael Peternek and Matthias Trueck has been praised for its exquisite virtuosity, style and rare programming. Their performances demonstrate the wide tonal range unique to the cello - from powerful basses to clear sopranos. The four young musicians present a distinct sound that is both witty and fun for the audience and performed at a very high technical level.

The quartet has enthralled audiences in Europe, the Far East and the United States, featuring music from classical to jazz, rock, Latin and film music. The group will tour in the fall of 2009 and spring of 2010 in 20 performances in 10 states.

All four members performed as recitalists, orchestral soloists or as members of major orchestras in Germany or abroad earlier in their careers. Born in Germany, the members of Quattrocelli studied at various music academies in Germany and other European countries. All four received their Masters of Music degree and were recipients of prizes, honors and awards from prestigious music organizations and cello competitions. They now give master classes and concerts throughout the world.

The group has released five CDs, and produced radio and television shows.
