Theron Bivens, 99, of Friendship, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 at his residence.

He was a farmer and a member of Friendship Church of Christ.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Friendship Funeral Home. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Vasconcellos of Fresno, Calif., Betty Scott and Nita Cruise, both of Drummonds, Tenn.; three sons, James Bivens of Memphis, Freddie Bivens of Friendship, and Billy D. Bivens of Dyersburg; a brother, Buford Bivens of Jackson; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Bivens, and a daughter, Martha Webster.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Mary Hazel Felks Bolton, 75, Dyersburg, formerly of Southaven, Miss., died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.

She was a factory worker with Blue Bell Manufacturing and Hancock Fabrics. She taught school for two years in Biggersville Elementary and was a member of Southaven Church of Christ.

The family will receive visitors at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McMillan Funeral Home in Booneville, Mis. With Minister Jim Chamblee officiating. Burial will be in Zion Rest Cemetery in Booneville.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Glidewell of Dyersburg; a sister, Ruth (Roy) Elliott of Booneville; and two grandchildren, Jared Nobles and Cason Nobles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Bolton; a son, Barry Lamar Bolton; and her parents, Richard V. and Beulah Willis Felks

Mrs. Ruth J. Gladden, 87, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Gladden was a Baptist and a homemaker.

Graveside Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery, Dyersburg, Tennessee with the Reverend Calvin Smith officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation for Mrs. Gladden was held Monday, November 9th at Curry Funeral Home.

She is survived by three sons: Jimmy L. Gladden and James "Noot" Gladden both of Dyersburg, TN and Curtis Gladden of Newbern, TN; 10 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Gladden; two sons, Billy Joe Gladden and Wayne Thomas Gladden; her parents, Joe and Minnie French Dycus; and a granddaughter, Tina M. Gladden.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Ables, Dwayne Anderson, Bryan Anderson, Stanley Robertson, Stanley Ward and James "Bubba" Hedgepath. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis "L.C." Gladden, Jr. and J. R. Hale.
