Cecil J. Brown, 60, of Radford, Va., died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009.

He was employed with Montgomery County Schools in the Special Education Department at Blacksburg Middle School.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann E. Brown of Radford, Va.; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Scott and Stephanie Brown of Pennington, NJ; a daughter, Laura Ann Brown of Blacksburg; three grandchildren, Alex Andres Roman, Sam Elliott Roman, and Joseph Patrick Brown; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerome and Karen Brown of Walnut, Miss. and Glen and Gisele Brown of Tiplersville; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Enochs of Newbern; two sisters-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Sayer of Saraland, Ala. and Helen Enochs of Dyersburg; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20004 or the Christian Brothers University, 650 East Parkway, Memphis, TN 38104.

Mrs. Imogene L. Turner, 73, Ridgely, TN died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She was an anesthesia technician for many years.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her son, Lyman H. Turner, Jr. of Ridgely, TN, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman H. Turner, Sr., 1 son, Lynnwood Turner, her parents, Hank and Helen Kendrick and several brothers and sisters.
