Commission makes board appointments

The Dyer County Commission appointed five persons to three boards during its regular monthly meeting Monday night.

Joe Emery was appointed to the McIver's Grant Public Library Board.

Sylvia Palmer was appointed to the Forked Deer Regional Library Board.

David Hayes, Katie Winchester and Don Crews were re-appointed to six-year terms on the Dyer County Industrial Board.

The petition to open Bird Lane, which had been scheduled for consideration, was removed from the agenda before the meeting began. The Dyer County Regional Planning Commission will consider the proposed re-opening of the road (formerly known as Mitchell Road) when it meets at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the planning and zoning office on Pioneer Road.
