Tuesday night's sponsor of Chimes for Charity was Dyersburg's own 168th Military Police Battalion. 1st Lt. Scott Sewell (left) and Maj. Richie Gammons (right) were two of the evenings many announcers from the 168th. As bidding closed on Tuesday night, the final total was $3,768 with 75 sponsored children. The two-day total is $7,432 of the $35,000 goal and 166 children sponsored out of the 900 in need.

SFC Orchard (left microphone) and Maj. Hunter Belcher (right microphone) close out the evening's bidding as other members of the unit stand at ease from a hectic night of bidding and sponsoring. It used to be a Chimes tradition that the unit would sponsor an evening, but last year they were deployed in Iraq. Wednesday's sponsor will be the Dyersburg First United Methodist Church Sojourners and Seekers. Chimes for Charity will air on Channel 4, WTRO AM 1450 and Eagle 97.3 from 7-9:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and will start at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
