Grand jury indicts 100

A Dyer County grand jury handed down 100 indictments during its final session of 2009.

Most of the indictees were arraigned in Dyer County Circuit Court on Dec. 21; the rest of the indictments will remain sealed until the persons named have been arrested.

The indictments include the following:

* Bobby Lynn Ables, address unavailable: theft in excess of $1,000.

* Katie Adams, address unavailable: sale of less than half a gram of cocaine and felony failure to appear.

* Lani Denise Akins, 7557 Highway 189 in Friendship: attempting to obtain possession of a controlled substance by fraud.

* Jay Faron Alexander, address unavailable: second offense driving under the influence of an intoxicant and violation of the implied consent law.

* Marcus D. Benford, 321 Fakes St., and Brian D. Benford, address unavailable: three counts of forgery.

* Darrell Louis Benthal and Anita Diane Harris, addresses unavailable: aggravated assault.

* Kativa Bolds, address unavailable: aggravated assault.

* Leon Booker, 55, 1028 Fair St.: two counts third-offense driving with a revoked license.

* Melissa M. Bradford and Steven Neil Hinson, addresses unavailable: fraudulent use of a debit card in excess of $500.

* Cindy J. Burchfiel, also known as Cindy Gladden, 817 John Mark Drive: third offense driving under the influence of an intoxicant and violation of the implied consent law.

* Timothy D. Burns Jr., address unavailable: burglary of a motor vehicle and theft of property in excess of $1,000.

* Brandy N. Campbell, 1843 Harris St.: attempting to obtain possession of a controlled substance by fraud.

* Zachary Lynn Collins, address unavailable: possession of more than half an ounce of marijuana with intent to sell.

* Terry Copeland, address unavailable: burglary and theft of property in excess of $1,000.

* James Thomas Cribbs, 69, 383 Cribbs Road: fifth offense driving under the influence of an intoxicant and violation of the implied consent law.

* Bryan M. Criswell, 1940 Davy Crockett: burglary.

* Tommy Crosno, address unavailable: coercion of a witness.

* Allison Lee Cureton, 2134 A St.: aggravated burglary and theft of property in excess of $500.

* Kimberly M. Dallas and Cheryl Lynn McGuire, addresses unavailable: five counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and one count of fraudulently obtaining TennCare medical assistance benefits.

* Chris Dicus, address unavailable: sale of more than half an ounce of marijuana.

* Willie Dobbins IV, address unavailable: especially aggravated burglary.

* Cody A. Ducat, 18, 302 Tyler St. in Newbern, and Dwayne E. Walls, 20, 2128 Volunteer Road: aggravated burglary and theft of property in excess of $1,000.

* Bethany Jo Edwards, 1826 Harris St.: theft of property in excess of $1,000 and theft of property less than $500.

* Michael A. Edwards, address unavailable: speeding and possession of more than half an ounce of marijuana with intent to sell.

* Steve Elliott, 138 Memorial: theft of property in excess of $500.

* Christopher T. Hayes, 428 Forrest Road in Newbern: two counts aggravated burglary, burglary and theft of property less than $500, and one count of theft of property in excess of $1,000.

* Hayes and Jason Stewart, 820 McManus in Newbern: two counts of burglary.

* Valerie Anne Haynes, 2150 St. John Ave.: two counts of theft of property less than $500.

* Felicia B. Hughey, address unavailable: obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and fraudulently obtaining TennCare medical assistance benefits.

* Joseph D. Isbell, address unavailable: vandalism in an amount exceeding $500 and evading arrest.

Nice. Dyersburg us just full of criminals. Why can't the courts put these people in jail and throw away the key? 4 previous driving drunk offenses and Cribbs still gets off. Laughing all the way on the road drunk again.

Seems none of these names haven,t changed in years.I was out there 20 yrs ago and the same people are still doing the same thing..WORTHLESS. Wasting thier lives.. Come on in my day 4 DUI,s you,d be under the jail and bit** papers would have been served.
