Mrs. Pearl "Mimaw" Sewell Gamble, 86, Dyersburg, TN died Monday, January 4, 2010 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was a retired owner of "Mimaw's" Daycare and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2010 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Brother Chuck Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday, January 6th from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy Gamble of Dyersburg, 4 grandchildren, Carrie Burns and husband Clint, Gena Walden and husband Zach, John Gamble and Garry Gamble, Jr. and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Gamble, 2 sons, Johnny Gamble and Garry Gamble, her parents, Walter and Beedie Hall Sewell, 5 sisters, Mable Spain, Lucille Reed, Louise Criswell, Maurine Glover and Emma Summitt, 3 brothers, Roy Sewell, Royce Sewell and Loyce Sewell and 1 step-daughter, Louise Mathis.
Pallbearers will be Terry Harris, William Turnbo, Chris Donaldson, Ben Richardson, Larry Anderson and Wayne Criswell.

Sarah Boyd Jones, 93, died Dec. 31, 2009, in Dyersburg.
She graduated from Bethel College and was a retired fifth-grade teacher in the Milan City School System. She was a member of Milan First United Methodist Church for 64 years where she was active in her Sunday School class, Circle and a volunteer for the Mustard Seed. Since 2006, she has been a member of Dyersburg First United Methodist Church.
Services were held at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan on Jan. 3, 2010, at 2:30 p.m., Dr. Phillip Cook officiating.
Ms. Jones, the widow of Bailey J. Jones, leaves a son, Hubert B. Jones and wife Delores of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Jason S. Jones and wife, Jamie of Dyersburg, and Abby Webb and husband, Carey of Memphis; one great grandchild, James Ridge Wilson Jones of Dyersburg; one brother, John F. Boyd of Memphis; and 14 beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James R. Boyd and wife, Myrtle S. Boyd and five siblings, Geraldine Horner, Mary Mosley, Roberta Boyd, Thomas Boyd and JR. Boyd.
