Joseph Martin Atchison Sr., 73, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 at his residence.
He was retired as project manager for I.M. Whitehouse & Sons, a member of Christ United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades, a U.S. Air Force veteran, and loving father, grandfather, father-in-law and friend.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathe Ozment, Bro. Julian Huey and Bro. Billy Reyer officiating. Burial will be in Atchison Family Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 today at the funeral home.
Survivors include two daughters, Samantha Jo Stanfield Sipes (Michael) of Dyersburg and Amanda Jo Carpenter (Damon) of Kentwood, La.; two sons, Joseph Martin Atchison II (Amy Jo) of Dyersburg and Michael Joseph Atchison (Nyellie) of Corpus Christi, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Michael T. Sipes, Hunter T. Stanfield, Matthew D. Stanfield, Hali M. Huey, Mallory L. Sipes, Morgan K. Lusk, Anthony L. Earp, Athalie Genevieve Atchison, Michael H. Atchison and James Atchison; and a great-grandchild, Braylin E. Sipes.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Morgan Atchison; his parents, Freed Hardeman Atchison and Lillie Belle Cook Atchison; and a brother, Marvin Gaskins.
Pallbearers will be Michael Sipes, Damon Carpenter, Hunter Thomas Stanfield, Eric Gaskins, Matthew David Stanfield, Thomas Lee Johnson, David Moore and Timothy Gaskins. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl King, Ben Ragan, Steven Stanfield, Dick Stanfield, David Walker, Joe Rogers, Thomas Mitchell, Grant Mitchell, Sam Reed, Otis Garrison and Terry Clayton Sipes.
John Paul Belew Jr., 49, of Newbern, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at his residence.
He was an employee of World Color, a U.S. Army veteran and retired from the Tennessee National Guard.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeremy Ballinger officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Kenton.
The family will receive visitors from 3-5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Brittney Belew of Newbern; a stepson, Sammy Renfroe of Newbern; his mother and stepfather, Faye Stanfill Russom and Joel Russom, both of Kenton; a sister, Bett Jewel of Dyer; a brother, Edward Belew of Memphis; three grandchildren, Amber Renfroe, Crystal Renfroe and Nicholas Renfroe, all of Newbern; and a great-grandchild, Damian Smith.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Paul Belew Sr.
Pallbearers will be James Sisk, Jerry Mount, Sammy Renfroe, Terry Redmond, Lance Estes and Bryan Hubbard.

Leberon Earl Butts, 89, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran of 20 years having served in World War II and Korea, and was retired from Colonial Rubber.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Smith officiating. Burial will be in South Fork Cemetery in Halls.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include three stepsons, David Seat and Calvin Seat, both of Dyersburg, and Andy Seat of Gates; a sister, Clydell Brown of E. Chicago, Ill.; and a brother, Leland Butts of Southaven, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Lorene Johns Butts; a stepdaughter, Shirley Seat Stover; four brothers and five sisters.
Willie M. Floyd, 84, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at Highlands of Dyersburg.
She was a homemaker.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home in Dyersburg with Bro. Mac Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruby Rogers of Dyersburg; a nephew, Eddie Floyd of Austin, Texas; 2 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vester Floyd; her parents, Willie and Mamie Alford Brim; two sisters, Violet Floyd and Ethel Adcock; a brother, Sonny Brim; 1 grandchild, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Brashier, Michael Brashier, Kenneth Brashier, Alvie Anderson, Raymond Elliott, and Billy Garrison.
Robert "Dusty" Ward, 57, of Murfreesboro passed away Friday, January 08, 2010 at Middle TN Medical Center. Dusty was born in Dyersburg, TN to the late Robert and JoAnn Johnson Ward. Dusty was a graduate of Dyersburg High School and Louisiana State University. He worked for Holland Colours and attended World Outreach Church.
Dusty is survived by his wife, Melanie Ward; son, Robert Ward III, both of Murfreesboro; step son, Jason Lloyd (Christy) of Collierville; four grandchildren; sisters, Jill Morris (Keith) of Lakeland, FL and Vicki Hearne (Lake) of Shreveport, LA; nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, January 12, 2010 from 2:00 pm until the Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Dr. Tony Long officiating.
