H.O.P.E. program rescheduled

Tuesday, February 9, 2010
The community program to encourage and equip residents currently looking for employment or facing other struggles has been rescheduled due to inclement weather.

Author Agnes O. Amos was scheduled to present a program at the Helping Our People Endure event co-sponsored by Holy Angels Catholic Church and Tucker Street Church on Sunday, Jan. 31. Due to a winter storm, the event has been rescheduled to Thursday, Feb. 25, at Tucker Street Church, located at 454 Tucker St., in Dyersburg.

The H.O.P.E. event will begin in Daniel Hall with a light supper at 5:30 p.m. A presentation by Amos will follow at 6:15 p.m.

Amos, the author of "The Journey of a Christian Job Seeker - Conquering Your Emotions and Fears Through Life's Trials," will share her testimony and answer questions.

The goal of the event is to encourage and equip both the Christian and secular population going through trials of all kinds.
