The county legislative body, which was supposed to meet at 7 p.m. Monday, is now scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 16 in the upstairs courtroom in the Dyer County Courthouse.
Items on the agenda include:
* A resolution authorizing the issuance, sale and payment of $125,000 in capital outlay notes for courthouse elevator repairs. The commission voted last month to accept a bid from United Elevator Services to fix and update the elevator.
* Approval of the bond for newly appointed Chancery Court Clerk Steve Walker.
* A presentation from Alene Arnold, director of statewide operations for Tennessee SCORE, or State Collaborative of Reforming Education. SCORE is an initiative by to jumpstart long-term educational change to ensure that every child graduates high school prepared for college or a career.
* A resolution seeking repeal of a state law that could force the county to pay the costs of placing children in state custody.
* Recommended budget transfers.
* A petition to re-open Mitchell Road and to rename it Bird Lane.
