Mary Louise Brewer, 73, of Trenton, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010.

She was a homemaker and a member of Christ Ministry Church in Fruitland.

Services will be today at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer with Bro. Gary Morris officiating. Burial will be in Hartsfield Cemetery in Brazil.

Survivors include two daughters, Vicky Dunaway and Melody Dunaway, both of Trenton; a sister, Beatrice Barber of Milan; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Brewer; and a son, Travis Brewer.


Lois Chapman Glass, 82, of Springville, formerly of Dyersburg, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.

She was a homemaker and a member of Dyersburg First Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Antioch Cemetery in Springville.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include a son, J.B. Glass of Dyersburg; six grandchildren, Michelle Glass, Rick Glass, Brad Glass, John David Glass, Patty Glass, all of Dyersburg and Shannon Knowles of Anniston, Ala.; and eight great-grandchildren, Fay Lynn Walton, Donald Putman, Megan Deutschlander, Trevor Glass, Will Glass, Anna Glass, Luke Glass and Emily Glass.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Glass; a daughter, Lynette Keel; and three brothers, Brad Chapman, Marshall Chapman and Ernest Chapman.

Pallbearers will be Rick Glass, Brad Glass, John David Glass, Donald Putman, Darrell Whitehorn and Danny Chapman.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.


Estelle Cowart Griffin, 85, of Newbern, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.

She was a homemaker, a retired employee of Holiday Inn and a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Newbern.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Neal officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Blaylock of Lake Station, Ind.and Teresa Kay Porter of Newbern; four sisters, Genettie Ray of Dyersburg, Shirley Autry and Ollie Hopkins, both of Newbern and Edith Kincaid of Valparaiso, Ind.; two brothers, Dennis D. Cowart of Meridian, Miss. and George D. "Doc" Cowart of Springville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Daniel Grimes; a daughter, Julie Ann Ingram; her parents, George B. Cowart and Jessie Marbett Cowart; a sister, Mozelle Pope; two brothers, Charlie Cowart and Bill Cowart.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Terry Lee Medley, 55, of Finley, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 at his residence.

He was a former employee of Quebecor World Color.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in New Salem Cemetery in Mason Hall with Mr. Jerry Leach officiating.

The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

Survivors include two sons, Josh Medley and wife, Emily, of Olive Branch, Miss. and Matt Medley and wife, Kim, of Union City; his mother, Sarah Harper Medley of Mason Hall; two brothers, Danny Medley and Merl Medley, both of Mason Hall; and two grandchildren, Cage Medley and Taylor Moore, both of Union City.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Medley; and a brother, Doug Medley.

Pallbearers will be Derrick Wilkerson, Tom Wilkerson, Matt Medley, Josh Medley, Danny Medley and Randy Brock.

Dwight Hopper, 53, of Medina, formerly of Tiptonville, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at his residence.
