Obituaries for March 12, 2010

Patsy J. Gibbons, 65, of Newbern, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Regional Hospital of Jackson.

Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Stacey Peevyhouse and husband, David, of Newbern, and Shannon Gilbert Powell and husband, Allen, of Trimble; a son, Scott D. Gibbons and companion, Lori Ward, of Newbern; her mother, Irene Hines Griffin of Dyersburg; a sister, Joyce Neff of Dyersburg; and three grandchildren, Ethan Gibbons and Erin Lee, both of Newbern, and Taylor Gilbert of Trimble.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Gibbons.

Pallbearers will be Danny Childress, Scotty Childress, Tommy Taylor, Spencer Baker and Allen Powell.
