Lois Tucker Carson, 83, died Friday, April 23, 2010 in Bartlett.
She is survived by a son, Allen Wesley Carson; four daughters, Virginia Carson Hendren, Libby Carson Bagwell, Barbara Carson Adams and Delois Carson; sister, Maxine Welch; grandchildren, Melinda Amundson, Lisa McDaniel, Travis Carson, Debbie Smith, Regina Helton, Preston Adams, Chasidy Carper and Kristin White; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Dora Tucker; her husband, A. W. Carson; four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 27, from 5-7 p.m. at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington.

Ward Henson Powers, 88, of Winchester, Ky. husband of Florence Lawson Powers for 68 years, passed away Wednesday April 28, at his home.
He was born February 18, 1922, in Warren County, Pennsylvania, to the late C. Eugene and Edith Henson Powers.
He was plant manager of GTE Sylvania from 1951 until 1990, he was a United States Air Force veteran and flew 31 missions over Germany and was a member of the eighth Air Force during WWII, he graduated from Penn State in 1951, was a Kentucky Colonel, and former member of the Winchester Country Club and the Elks Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Alan Powers of Bay St. Louis, Miss., and Kenneth (Denise) Powers of Dyersburg, Tenn., four daughters and sons-in-law, Janine (Denzil) Cole of Irvine, Barbara (Stan) Anderson of Halls, Tenn., Susan (Bill) Nichols of Lexington, and Leslie (Wendell) Burns of Dyersburg, Tenn., two sisters and brother-in-law, Helen Eubanks of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Betty (Joe) Tomchick of Huntington Beach, Ca. 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 1st from 1-4 p.m. at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home 289 S. Main St. Winchester, Ky. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Corry, Pennsylvania.

Frances Rachel White, 82, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was a retired homemaker, a private sitter and a member of Pierce Lane Church of Christ.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Bruce officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include three daughters, Janet Colvin of Dyersburg, Judy Ramsey of Newbern and Joyce W. Brasfield of Churchton; two sisters, Genelle Hall of Natchez, MS. and Tina Dunavant of Monroe, LA.; two brothers, Janice Dunavant of Washington State and Bobby Dunavant of Monroe, LA.; five grandchildren, Kelly Colvin, Will Ramsey, Alesia Ramsey, Leigh Anne Littlejohn Diaz and Alexa Brasfield; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Allen White; her parents, Ernest and Vera Smith Dunavant; a grandson, Kevin Colvin; and a brother, David Dunavant.
Pallbearers will be Victor Voyles, Will Ramsey, Glenn Stewart, Dennis Moody, Dale Woods and Calvin Dale Hendrix.
