Connie Staten Taylor, 70, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at her residence.

She was a homemaker and a member of Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Ridgecrest Cemetery in Jackson with the Rev. Robert Craig officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Clifft and husband, Clint, of Finley and Ronda Lowe and husband, Don, of Nashville; and three grandchildren, Will, Rachel and Sara Clifft, all of Finley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Robert Williams Jr. and Grace Findley Williams; and a brother, George Robert Williamson III.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Cindy McDonald, 52, of Newbern, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Baptist Hospital-East in Memphis.

She was a financial analyst for Dyersburg State Community College and a 2006 inductee of Beta Gamma Sigma.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Teague officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Steve McDonald of Newbern; a daughter, Wendy Couture (Jay) of Cordova; four sisters, Dorothy Hartsfield of Newbern, Frances McKnight of Collierville, Annette Wilson of Ripley and Billie Byars of Valparaiso, Ind.; a brother, Leslie Evans of Arlington; and a grandchild, Evan Couture of Cordova.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Willie Davis Evans; a sister, Jo Nelle Council; and three brothers, Bob Evans, Carl Evans and Aubrey Guy Evans.

Pallbearers will be Joe Qualls, Michael Todd Austin, Barry Hollomon, Joe Peevyhouse, Richard Glendowne and Shaun Awtry.
