Jeremy Michael Irby, 29, of Duncan, OK, formerly of Dyer County, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, in Duncan, OK. He was an employee of M&M Installation, a US Army veteran serving in Afghanistan where he earned the rank as Specialist.
A memorial service will be held Monday, May 17, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern. Officiating this service will be Bro. Kenneth Westbrook. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 17, 2010, from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Survivors include his former wife, Megan McClain Irby of Duncan, OK, his mother, Teresa Hutching Davis of Bartlett; his father, Jerry Irby of Dyersburg; a son, Hayden Michael Irby of Duncan, OK, a step-sister, Cayla Nichols; a step-brother, Dylan Nichols; his grandparents, Jimmy and Fay Hutching of Dyersburg; his step-grandmother, Debbie Davis of Drummonds; two aunts, Mary Ann Savage and husband, Steve Rasch of Tulsa, OK and Cherry Irby of Newbern; an uncle, Jimmy Hutching Jr., and wife, Cindy, of Dyersburg; a step-aunt, Sylvia Davis of Drummonds, TN; a step-uncle, William Davis of Memphis; two cousins in Dyer County; 5 cousins in Florida; and a cousin in Georgia. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Arah D. Irby and grandfather, Don Davis. The family requests that any memorial be directed to the Hayden Michael Irby Fund c/o the Bank of Bartlett.

Gerald Thomas "Tommy" Ketchum, 82, of Dyersburg, died Friday, May 14, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was the retired owner of Ketchum's Auto Repair, attended Independent Free Holiness Church and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Calvin Smith and the Rev. Jim Ketchum officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 1-2:45 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Ketchum; a daughter, Alice Ketchum Lumley of Dyersburg; a son, Charles Ketchum of Dyersburg; three grandchildren, Matt Ketchum, Brad Sexton and Cody Clark; and three great-grandchildren, Logan Clark, Lexie Ketchum and Preston Montgomery.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Ketchum; his parents, Ardell and Naomi Ketchum; a sister and four brothers.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends.
Mrs. Betty Jean Runions, 72, Dyersburg, TN died Friday, May 14, 2010 at her residence. She was a member of Phillips Street Church of God, a retired secretary with Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council and Transitions of Dyer County.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 16, 2010 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Robert Davis. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Lynette Crosno & husband Jerry of Dyersburg, 3 sons, Nathan Runions and Paul Alexander, both of Dyersburg, TN, Billy Alexander of Gates, TN, 1 brother, R.C. Morgan of McKenzie, TN and 3 grandchildren, Kristi N. Crosno of Dyersburg, TN, Matthew and Megan Alexander of Gates, TN.
She was preceded in death by 1 son, Stevie Runions, her parents, Paul Jackson and Lillian Morgan, 2 sisters, Mary Lee Alexander and Ann Aylor and 2 brothers, Jimmy Jack Morgan and Eugene "Doc" Morgan.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Alexander, Billy Alexander, Paul Alexander, Jerry Crosno and Gary Marbry.
