Lt. Col. Joe Robert Norman, 95, of Dyersburg, TN died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at his residence. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, an Air Force Retiree with over 30 years of service, an avid world traveler who loved and lived life to its fullest.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 Graveside at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg with Reverend Larry Blakeburn officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Marguerite "Peggy" Haines Norman; one daughter, Mary Norman of Memphis and one grandchild Robert Jungklas of Memphis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dawn Smith Norman and Robert Nathan Norman, and one brother Jimmy Norman.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Boehmler, John Ford, John Lannom, John Hart, and Wendell Burns.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Dyersburg Humane Society or McIver's Grant Public Library.

Thomas Franklin "Pipeline" Williams, Sr., 69, of Newbern, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at his residence.

He was a security guard at Fort Pillow, a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and in 2000 he joined the International Gospel Church.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Dyersburg with the Rev. Mitchell Matthews, the Rev. Jeff Samples and Pastor William Holder officiating.

Burial will be in Newbern Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Betty Douglas Beard of Newbern; a daughter, Arlene Renee Bond (Derrick) of Memphis; two sons, Ralph Roshelle Williams of Newbern and Thomas Franklin Williams, Jr. (Felicia) of Dyersburg; two sisters, Catherine Williams of Detroit, Mich. and Martha Adkins of Dyersburg; two brothers, Joe Franklin Williams of Dyersburg and Chester Paul Williams of Detroit, Mich.; an aunt, Helen Greer; an uncle, Sammie Midgett; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Mammie Lurlulu Battles Williams and James Franklin Williams.

Pallbearers will be Melvin Wesley, Nyge Williams, Elijah Rice, Sam Rice, Joe Lurks, Jr. and James Fisk. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Williams, Derrius Bond, Trey Bond, Thomas Williams, III, Michael Nance, Gregory Williams and James Williams
