Dixie Wise Borden, 74, of Dyersburg, died Friday, June 18, 2010 at her residence.
She was a retired bookkeeper after 36 years with First Tennessee Bank, a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Choir, Keenagers and the Bontheo Circle, a member of the Red Hat Society, a member of Dyersburg Regional Medical Center's Senior Circle, a member of Dyersburg and Newbern Saddle Clubs, and a former employee of Wal-Mart and Q-Mart.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Larry Blakeburn officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 5-7 p.m. and Sunday from 2-3 p.m.
Survivors include her husband, Robert B. Borden of Dyersburg; three daughters, Charlene Clement and husband, John, and Carol Mecklin and husband, Bobby, all of Munford and Cathy Throgmorton and husband, Stan, of Dyersburg, a son, Charles "Chuck" Moore and wife, Jean, of Dyersburg; a brother, Walter Albert Wise of Bartlett; twelve grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary Harvell Wise; and a sister, Mary Zenith Wise.
Pallbearers will be David Doss, Josh Doss, John Mecklin, Isaac Mecklin, John Scott Sartain, Bryce Carden, Daniel Morgan and Mark Mogle.
The family requests that memorials may be directed to the music fund at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Ruth J. (Jones) McCullough, 83, of Obion, formerly of Dyersburg, died Friday, June 18, 2010 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Cryer Funeral Home in Obion with Rob Newberry officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Obion.
Survivors include her husband, Leon McCullough of Obion; a daughter, Denise (Evans) Powers and Ken of Dyersburg; a son, Randy Evans and Susie of Obion; a sister, Dorothy (Jones) Harrison of Hendersonville; five grandchildren, Brian Powers of Brunswick, Ga., Lori Braese of Oklahoma City, Okla., Matt Powers of Murfreesboro, Jamie Evans of Obion and Mark Evans of Arlington, Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Abigale Evans and Ellie Evans, both of Obion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.E. and Dora (Tanner) Jones.
Pallbearers will be Brian Powers, Matt Powers, Hunter Hayes, Jimmy Smith, Charlie Guy and Eugene Hudgins. Honorary pallbearers will be the Rev. Terry English, Jimmy Gatlin and Bob Anderson.
Lewis David Weeks, 54, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, June 10, 2010.
He was retired from the Dyersburg City Golf Course.
Survivors include his wife of 33 1/2 years, Debra Weeks; two daughters, Trisha Ashley and husband, Bobby, and Kimberly Tutor; his mother, Betty Jackson; three sisters, Joann Bates, Shelia Warden and Beverly Brooks; a brother, Danny Weeks; five grandchildren, Julie Howell, Madison Ashley, Kylie Tutor, Jaden Tutor and Matthew Copeland; and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Kay Copeland; his father, Lewis Daniel Weeks; and a sister, Sandra Weeks.
