Linda Elaine Beatty, 58, of Newbern, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at her residence.

She was a teacher at Margaret Newton School for four years and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Memphis.

Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Monday in Zion Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Scherffius and Bro. Morris Eugene Faust officiating. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her mother, Lavata Beatty of Newbern; and two brothers, Dennis Beatty and wife, Helen, of Memphis and Gerald Beatty and wife, Dedi, of Bartlett.

She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin David Beatty.

Josphine Johnson age 81 of Dyersburg died July 6, 2010 at Jackson-Regional Hospital in Jackson, TN. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2010 1:00 p.m. at Cosmopolitan Funeral Services Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Cally Watkins. Visitation will be held in the chapel Tuesday, July 13, 2010, noon until time of service. Burial will be held in the Newbern Cemetery, Newbern, TN. Survivors include Son Coleman (Florence) Hughes, Dyersburg, TN. Four Grandchildren, Joann, Toney, Phebie, and Coleman Hughel III. Gilbert Junior, 56, of Dyersburg, died Monday, July 12, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was a metal fabricator for J & J Cupples, an avid hunter and outdoorsman.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Lineberry Junior of Dyersburg; a daughter, Jenna Peyton and husband, Brian, of Hollandale, MS.; a son, Greg Junior and wife, Shana, of Finley; two sisters, Kim Luckett and husband, Lynn, and Shirley Jones and husband, Clyde, all of Dyersburg; two brothers, Randy Junior and Scotty Joe Junior and wife, Lisa, all of Dyersburg; two grandchildren, Leanna Junior and Emma Junior; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, whom he adored.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gideon and Louise Mancell Junior; a sister, Fannie Gable; and a brother, Mike Junior.

Anita Henderson Roleson, 71, of Hornbeak died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at her residence. She was a member of Cottonwood Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Brother Archie Larry officiating. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The Roleson family will receive visitors Tuesday, July 13, 2010 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Nicole Roleson of Nashville and Jodi Harms of Southaven, Ms; daughter-in-law, Susan Henderson of Hornbeak; one son, Michael Henderson of Hornbeak; and one sister, Linda Griffin of Dresden; 4 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Joe Henderson and Donald "D. J." Roleson; a son, Mark Henderson, her parents, Basil and Valeeda Ford Melton, and a brother, John Herman "Butch" Melton.

Pallbearers will be Gary Powell, Shaun Stover, Danny Stover, Lee Stewart, Phillip Burkett, and Don Petty. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Roberson and Richard Roberson.
