Harvey Harry Pike, 83, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was owner and operator of Fred's stores in Jonesboro, Ark. and Dyersburg for 28 years, a member of the First United Methodist Church, a member of Kiwanis Club and an Army veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Dyersburg with Dr. David Russell officiating. Burial will be in Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford. Munford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors at 1:30 p.m. at the church.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Nellie Pike; two sons, Victor Alan Pike and wife, Terri and Jefferey Pike; three grandchildren, Richard Pike, Natalie Pike and Sarah Beth Pike, all of Dyersburg; a sister, Mary Kathryn Holt of Meridian, Miss.; and a brother, Willard Pike of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Freda Pike.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
