NASHVILLE - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has added a Dyer County man to its list of Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives in an effort to locate and arrest him for a shooting incident that occurred inside the county last year.

Robert Brandon, 39, last known address 981 Newbern-RoEllen Road, Newbern, is wanted by the Dyer County Sheriff's Office on one count of aggravated assault and one count of especially aggravated burglary. On March 28, 2009, Brandon, along with an accomplice who has since been arrested, was involved in a home burglary on Jones Street in Newbern. Shots were fired inside the home and one of the residents was injured.

Brandon has a criminal history that dates back to 1990 and includes aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, forgery, theft, disorderly conduct, public intoxication and violating his parole. Law enforcement has also learned that he has a violent juvenile criminal history.

Brandon is described as a 5'11" black male weighing approximately 155 lbs. He is bald and has brown eyes. Identifiable markings include a large knot on his forehead over his right eye and a scar near the left side of his nose. Brandon is considered armed and dangerous and should be approached with caution. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Robert Brandon is urged to call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND. There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

Someone should put another knot on his fat head.

Come on now. Throwing him in jail and throwing away the key would make too much logical sense. Do you really think that he will be punished this time after over 20 years of recorded criminal history? At the most, he will get 6 months, which will lead to probation.

I agree with you Ben Wilson, isn't that how it all goes? They all get a slap on the hand and walk. Wow

I went to school with him. He has always been rough. He should have been in prison years ago with that record.
