Gene Jerry Burris of Dyersburg, age 75, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was a retired salesman for Colonial Bread Company. He also worked for Hart's Bread Company for fifteen years, and was a U. S. Army veteran. Mr. Burris was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and served as President and coach of the Dyersburg Babe Ruth Baseball League.

Services will be Sunday, September 5, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Lynn King. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors Saturday evening 5-8 at the church.

He is survived by his wife, June Burris; four daughters, Debbie Sewell (Tommy), Leigh Ann Burris and special friend, Cayce Abbott, and Cindy Ratliff (Tommy) all of Dyersburg, and Sherry Blalock (Chris) of West Lafayette, IN; one brother, Richard Burris of Carpentersville, IL, and seven grandchildren, Jeremy Burris, Brooke Sewell, Landon Sewell, Tracy Ratliff, Alex Blalock, Ben Blalock, and Jon Blalock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Emma Burris.

Pallbearers will be Holice Jeffries, Danny Jeffries, Skipper Jeffries, Barry Cooley, Anthony Hopper, and Wade Jeffries.

Johnny R. Eudaley, 55 of Dyersburg, died Thursday, September 2, 2010 in Paris.

Survivors include a son, Greg Eudaley and Greg's Mother, Pat Eudaley, brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Linda Eudaley; Uncle/Aunt, George and Mary Strawn, Bobby and Beauton Williamson, Doug Williamson; Sister-in-Law Katherine Eudaley; cousins, Larry Williamson, Jimmy Williamson, Jerry Williamson, Jerome Campbell, Lynn Williamson, Mark Strawn, Mack Strawn, Tony Strawn and Sue Dennis; nephew/nieces, Julie Chaney, Tim Eudaley,Patrick Eudaley, Eddie Eudaley and their children Kate Chaney, Derek Eudaley, Keith Eudaley and Holly Gibson.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joe and JoElla Eudaley; and a brother, Billy Eudaley.

Arthell Miller McCann, 68, of Newbern, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010 at Regional Hospital of Jackson.

She was a retired employee of All-Wear Manufacturing and Honeywell and a member of Lemalsamac Church Of Christ.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Teague officiating. Burial will be in Yorkville Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Carla Murray and husband, Joey, of Newbern, and Camille Stanley of Metamora, Ill.; a son, Scott McCann and wife, Catherine, of Newbern; three sisters, Juanita Carroll and Florence "Bug" Fultz, both of Newbern, and Edith Moore of Yorkville; four brothers, Bruce Miller and Don Miller, both of Newbern, Vermon Miller of Dyersburg and Finis Miller of Yorkville; eight grandchildren, Corey Murray and wife, Jessica, Jeremy McCann, Amber McCann, Ryan McCann, Spencer Beck, Jackson McCann, Tyler Fortner and Logan Stanley; and a great-grandchild, Taylor Grace McCann.

She was preceded in death by her parents, O.H. and Irvia Lee London Miller; two sisters, Demova McKeel and Edna Miller; and two brothers, Charles Miller and Billy Miller.

Pallbearers will be Tim Hassell, Timothy Hassell, Mack Zarecor, Mark Miller, Keith Hulme and Johnny Dodson.
