Clarence Damon Jones, 88, of Newbern, formerly of Obion, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law in Newbern.
He was a retired radio announcer for WASL/WTRO and WCMT radio stations and was an avid film collector and was known as the Show Man for this reason. He was a member of Obion First Baptist Church.
Memorial services will be announced later by Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Survivors include a son, Randy L. Jones and wife, Gwen, of Newbern; a stepdaughter, Rita Stewart of Dyersburg; three stepsons, Charles Stewart of Las Vegas, Nev., Stanley Stewart of San Antonio, Texas, and Jerry Glenn Stewart of Arlington, Texas; and a grandson, Randy William Loied Jones of Newbern.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Pauline Stewart Jones; a stepson, Jimmy Stewart; a stepdaughter, Maxine Stewart McKnight; his parents, Loied and Daisy Smith Jones; and a brother, James L. "Buddy" Jones.
