Sara Jean Holcomb, 82, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 at NHC Healthcare in Murfreesboro.
She was retired from Bell South Telephone Co., a member and deacon of Cumberland Presbyterian Church and member of the Lydia Circle, and she and her husband operated Holcomb's Farmer's Supply in RoEllen.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Annetta Camp officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include a son, Perry Lynn Holcomb and wife, Lynn, of Murfreesboro; a brother, Robert Veal of Dyersburg; and three grandchildren, Krystal Hill, Bailey Holcomb and Gracie Holcomb, all of Murfreesboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Allen Holcomb.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Hendren, Chip Worley, Rodney McKinney, Jeff McGuire, Terry Dial and Jeff Brewer. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Fowlkes and John McDivitt.
Mildred Rowland Lambert, 88, of Dyersburg, died Friday, September 10, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics, where she worked in the Spinning Department for 42 years and a member of Lenox Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Rudy Ring and Bro. Robert Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Shelia Binkley of Dyersburg; a son, Donald Wayne Lambert and wife, Nancy, of Fowlkes; four grandchildren, Karen Lambert of Orlando, FL., Steve Lambert and wife, Kathy, of Friendship; Beth Rhodes and husband, Mark, and Jon Binkley and wife, Gayle, all of Dyersburg; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Lambert; her parents, Walter and Betty Heath Rowland; a sister, Essie Mae McKinney; a brother, Romace Rowland; and a grandson, Chad Lambert.
Pallbearers will be David Haddock, Kevin Ward, Ronnie Doss, Rick Jurdack, Bob Veal and Marty Long. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Edgin and Johnny Lambert.
Elsie Mae Prater, 92, of Newbern, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 at Dyersburg Manor.
She was a homemaker and a member of RoEllen Baptist Church.
Services were Saturday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Michael officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery in Hornbeak.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Austin and husband, Edward, of Troy and Gloria Michael and husband, Johnny, of Newbern; two sons, Ronald Prater and wife, Betty, of Newbern and Dennis Prater and wife, Margaret, of Trimble; a sister, Dorothy Cagle of Dyersburg; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jodie Prater; two sons, J. D. Prater and Joseph Prater; her parents, Dock and Dellar Rogers Weaver; and four sisters, Sue Clark, Louise French, Mildred Davis and Jean Gatlin.
Pallbearers were Brady Fisher, Cory Murray, Patrick Forgy, Jeff Sisk, Austin Forgy, Cody Austin, Brian Austin and Lance Prater. Honorary pallbearers were Brady Austin, Clifton "Ted" Pierce, Ronnie Scott Prater and Michael Prater.
