Nellie Opal Lacy, 93, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and a member and Sunday School Teacher at Church of God of Prophecy.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Calvin Smith officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
Survivors include her two daughters, Janie Brooks and husband, Jerry, of Bogota and Geraldine Bivens and husband, Dempsy, of Union City; four sons, Willard Lacy and wife, Sandra, James H. Lacy and wife, Laura, all of Dyersburg, Millard Lacy and wife, Virginia, of Richwoods and Lloyd Lacy and wife, Jeannette, of Newbern; twenty-four grandchildren; and forty-seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doil Lacy; two sons, Doil Gene Lacy and Wilburn Lacy; and her parents, Arch and Ida Romains Woodworth.
Patricia A. McBride, 73, of Streator died at 2:40 A.M. Thursday September 23, 2010 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Streator.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Long Point Cemetery, Long Point, Illinois. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Born December 10, 1936 in Dyersburg, Tennessee she was the daughter of Ozzie and Sallie (Norville) McFarland. She married Reynold B. McBride Sr. on January 23, 1954 in Mississippi. He died October 15, 2009.
She is survived by three daughters, Debra (Jim) Hart of Spring Hill, Florida, Cindy (Neal) Kappel of Streator and Lisa Whitehead of Streator; two sons, Reynold B. (Sandy) McBride Jr. and Steven (Lisa) McBride of both of Streator; grandchildren, Jimmy and Amy Hart, Angie Graff, Maggie Kappel, Brandi and Kelly Sullivan, Emily, Steven Anthony, Kyle, Brad, and Jason McBride, Heather, Alli, Angela and Sharon Whitehead and six great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Jewel McFarland and Jane McCowan and one brother, Glenn McFarland.
Born and raised in Tennessee she attended Tennessee schools. She and her husband moved to Streator in 1987.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
Funeral services for Dorothy Jo McCanless, 72 of Buchanan, Tn will be held Sunday at 2:00 P. M. at the Friendship Funeral Home with Rev. David Sutherland officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellevernon Cemetery. Mrs. McCanless, a retired nurse from Wesley Homes in Dyersburg died Sept. 24, 2010 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Newbern, Tn daughter of the late Ed and Edith Webb Inman and had lived in the Buchanan area for the past eight years.
Survivors include her husband, James E. McCanless, Buchanan, Tn, son, Scott Dycus, Burlington, WI, daughters, Edith Grace McGee, Gadsden, Tn, Amy Jo Wolff, Rome, NY, Mary H. Mount, Franklin, Tn, sisters, Doris Jean McManis, Paris, TN, Margaret Moffitt, Jefferson, NC, grandchildren, Amy Lynn Dycus, Scotty Dycus, Elizabeth Nord, Lauren McGee, Lance McGee, Hanna Wolff, Melody Wolff, Harrison Mount, Landon Mount, and Anders Mount.
Pallbearers will be Robert McCanless, Brian McCanless, Don McCanless, Gordon McCanless, Doug McCanless and Tommy Winters.
Louis D. "Jim" Neal, 82, of Dyersburg, formerly of Bonicord, died Friday, September 24, 2010, at Maple Ridge Assisted Living in Dyersburg, TN.
He was retired as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service after 40 years. He was a member and song leader at Lake Road Church of Christ for 30 years, and was a current member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ. He served in the Army in World War II.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Parr Avenue Church of Christ with Mr. Scott Owen officiating with Dr. Ralph Reynolds assisting. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home and 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Parr Avenue Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Marjorie Smith Neal of Dyersburg; a daughter, Debra Neal Nowlin (David) of Waverly, TN; a grandson, James Nowlin (Ann) of Memphis; a granddaughter, Sarah West (Blake) of Austin, TX; a stepson, Joel Dickerson (Ann) of Collierville TN; a stepdaughter, Rebecca Dickerson of Memphis; 3 great grandsons, Greyson West, Eli West, and Case Nowlin; 4 step-grandchildren, Jennie & Laura Dickerson of Collierville, TN and Tyler & Cali Dickerson of Sugar Grove, IL; a brother, Leroy Neal (Polly) of Dyersburg; and a step son-in-law, Brad Dickerson.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bettye McKee Neal, a son, Jimmy Neal, a step-daughter, Nancy Dickerson, his parents, Charlie and Ora Lou Neal, and three brothers, Charles, Percy, and Joe.
Pallbearers will be Bill Neal, David Nowlin, Joel Dickerson, James Nowlin, Kenneth Neal, and Spence Lowery. Honorary pallbearers will be retired U. S. Postal Workers.

Dorothy Moody Reasons, 82, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Sept. 24, 2010 at her residence.
She was a retired salesperson for Bunny Bread Co.
Memorial graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern with family and friends officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Reasons and wife, Donna, of Dyersburg; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Reasons of Newbern; a sister, Jean Jordan and husband, Harry, of Dyersburg; three grandchildren, Tiffany Jacobs and husband, Alan, and Jarrett and Fallon Reasons, all of Dyersburg; and two great-grandchildren, Chloe Reasons and Austin Jacobs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Reasons; a son, Felix Reasons; two sisters, Ruby Simrell and Louise Stribling; two brothers, Aaron Moody and James Troy Moody; and a grandson, Patrick Reasons.

Mrs. Lynda Larkin Shannon, age 66, of Dresden, TN, died Friday, September 24, 2010, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Memorial Services and Celebration of Life will be held Monday, September 27, 2010, at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, Dresden with the Rev. Mark Earheart officiating. Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Monday, at the church.
Mrs. Shannon was a member of First United Methodist Church, Dresden; she was a Corporate Trainer.
Mrs. Shannon is survived by a daughter, Libi (Allen) Riggs, Collierville, TN; a son, Martin (Kim) Bruce, Jr., Lakeland, TN; four Grandchildren, Miller and Ellie Riggs, Ashton and Martin Bruce III; and a brother, John Larkin, Memphis, TN.
Mrs. Shannon was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Shannon, a sister, Brenda Larkin Belew, and her parents, John Larkin and Elaine Walker Brewer.
